'I have always loved this City'

It looks like Bipasha Basu has a strong liking for Bangalore. The actress was spotted twice in the City in the span of one month.

She was here last for the finale of the Celebrity Cricket League, after which the actress was busy travelling all around the country to promote her latest film Aatma. But the day the film released, Bipasha was in the City again — this time, to launch the latest ‘Spring/Summer 2013’ collection from Tommy Hilfiger.

Talking about Aatma, the actress admits, “I am nervous and anxious as to how people will accept the film. It’s an ‘all heart’ movie and I hope people can see that and enjoy it,” she adds. As for the City, she says, “I have always loved this City. It’s a very fashion-conscious city, very much like Mumbai. Just take a look around the mall and you can see how well-dressed people are here.”

Dressed in a cute navy blue pleated Tommy Hilfiger dress, Bipasha looked set to get the temperature rising at the mall. The former model says that fashion is something that is very close to her heart and Tommy Hilfiger happens to be one of her favourite brands. Taking a stroll around the store, she pointed out many items that were on display that she liked, from classic tees and cute dresses to a few shirts.

“The collection is perfect for the Indian summer,” says Bipasha and adds, “I love the easy elegance of the prep-infused pieces and the signature twist that Tommy Hilfiger always brings to classics.”

Ask her about the must-haves this season and she says, “One can’t go wrong with a white shirt this summer. And if one can carry it off, then short dresses are a great look for any formal do.”

The collection had traditional styles that were reinterpreted with bold new silhouettes and different fabrics as well. Many of the tees came with creative graphic patterns — a very fresh and modern look that appeals to people of different age groups.
