DRL had reported a net profit of Rs 162.26 crore in the corresponding period of financial year 2007-08, the company said.
The company reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 917.24 for financial year ended March 31, 2009, whereas it had a net profit of Rs 438.13 crore during fiscal year 2008.
However, the total income of the company rose to Rs 7,000 crore during the fiscal ended March 31, 2009 from Rs 5,195.45 crore of a year earlier.
