Cruise vessel arrives at Port city

As many as 1,025 passengers opted for ground tour and visited tourist spots like 1000 pillar temple at Moodabidri, Monolithic statue of Lord Bahubali at Karkala, Udupi temple, St Aloysius chapel, Kudroli Gokarnanatha temple, Kadri Temple, Cashew factory, City shopping at the Malls, etc and returned to the ship and sailed out on Saturday.

This luxury cruise vessel with majority of tourists from Germany called at Mangalore from Goa and its next port of call will be Cochin. The passengers have enjoyed the scenic beauty of Mangalore and hospitality extended to them during their short visit to this town and expressed their wish to visit these places again. The cruise traffic at NMPT is steadily increasing during the past few years. A modern cruise terminal added by the Port recently, has been utilised by the passengers, said a release from the port.

NMPT Chairman  P Tamilvanan welcomed the first cruise vessel of the season by presenting a bouquet to the captain of the vessel and sought his feed back on the ship’s short stay at NMPT.
