'Cast your votes fearlessly'

The police and security forces jointly took out a march past in the main streets of Chikkaballapur on Sunday, in the wake of the upcoming Assembly elections.

Through the march past they urged the people to be fearless and cast their votes during the polls.

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Border Security Force (BSF), District Armed Reserve Force and personnel from the police department participated in the march past conducted between 7 am and 8 am. SP N Shivaprasad led the march past of 450 personnel.

The march past which started from MG Road passed through B B Road, Bazaar Street and other main streets before it culminated at parade grounds. The personnel provided requisite information and guidance to people at the parade grounds.

“ Conducting march past in the wake of elections is a common fare. As a result there is no need for people to be scared of any untoward incidents during the elections. People should thus cast their votes without any fear,” said N Shivaprasad.
