<p>Addressing reporters on the sidelines of an official meeting here on Wednesday he said there was no need for establishing a separate agency to look into the missing cases, especially, of women.<br /><br />He said the department would give special importance to probe the missing cases on a monthly basis after listing out them during its monthly review meeting of the crime scenario at the district-levels.<br /><br />To a query on police adding Leelavathi (one of the victims of Mohan) in the suspected Naxals’ list, Singh said the police were yet to confirm whether she had Naxal links. <br />The DGP said, it was for the first time, State police have got Rs 20 crore exclusively for investigation purposes, which would be utilised efficiently.<br /><br />Singh honoured the special team that cracked Mohan Kumar’s serial killings. A sum of Rs 1.08 lakh was distributed among the team members.<br /><br />IGP (Western Range) Gopal Hosur and Superintendent of Police Dr A S Rao took part in a closed-door meeting that followed. Speaking to Deccan Herald later, Dr Rao said the DGP collected opinions of all the police officials at the meeting regarding the serial killing cases. A decision on handing over the case to the CID will be taken in a day or two, he said.</p>
