BBMP schools put up better show this year

The SSLC and II PU students of the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) schools have performed better in the examinations this time, compared to last year.

The pass percentage in II PU exams has increased to 74 this year compared to 69 per cent last year. Similarly, the performance in SSLC examination has gone up to 59 pc from 55.40 pc last year.

Out of the 1,907 students appeared for II PU exams, 32 have passed with distinction and 557 have secured first class.

Basaveshwaranagar and Cleveland Town schools have eight distinction holders each.  In SSLC, out of 1,914 students, ten have secured distinction and 293 students have passed with first class.

The BBMP school in Basaveshwaranagar tops the Palike-run institutions in both SSLC and PU exams with 98.40 and 94.40 pass percentage respectively.
