At Shoppers Stop, which houses some of the most popular national and international brands, there’s an outfit for any occasion. Be it traditional, ethnic, formal or casual wear, the store not only has the latest trends but also gives the customers an opportunity to mix and match to create their individual style statement.

The latest ‘Spring Summer 2013’ collection has bright colours, flowing silhouettes, breezy fabrics and quirky trends. Focussing only on women’s Western wear, the range of attire and accessories is endless.

From the formal and casual to the party ––– a girl can get spoilt for choice.

The brand, however, describes the collection as 'simple sophistication’.

“Keeping the season in mind, the collection has bright colours and a good blend of fabrics from the range of brands that we have,” says the design team from the brand.

One can find cute floral-printed blouses and summery dresses, which are a sure-shot staple for the season.

“We also have many asymmetrical silhouettes, off-shouldered styles and flowing fabrics. Sheer too is a big trend this season. So, sheer tops and blouses are good to have. A good choice would be floral tops in sheer fabrics that make for the perfect summer brunch look,” adds the design team. Coloured denims are making statements this season as well. “Be it the simple mid-wash, heavy-washed jeans or the capris, coloured denims and corduroy pants are all popular this season,” they say.

It’s better to avoid heavy fabrics and dark colours. This season is all about the bright hues. One can go for the summer colours like blue, yellow, orange, pink, red and neons. And as for the looks, the team suggests, “The ideal summer look would be a chic asymmetrical dress, a tailback top, a dress or even a high-low hems that can be teamed with comfortable pumps or sandals. Bright-coloured denims or capris juxtaposed with a solid top or a floral blouse also work beautifully.”

Instead of following trends blindly, the collection also lets one mix and match. “It’s always best to opt for styles and fits that flatter one’s body type. Mix and match
elements that reflect one’s personal style statement. And do remember to complete the look by adding a statement accessory that adds a ‘wow’ factor like a chunky necklace or cocktail ring,” says the design team.

Accessories can lift the temperament of any look. “So whether a statement tote, a cute sling bag, a bling necklace or flower-topped or studded sandals, it only takes a dash to add some oomph to the entire look,” adds the design team.
