JOIN USHigh jumper KC Chandana is in hospital recuperating from surgery after a mishap but the Karnataka Athletics Association seems to be unaware of it.
Chandana’s name is there in the 31-member team announced by the KAA on Sunday for the National inter-state athletics championship to be held from July 4 to 7 in Chennai.
The high jumper had suffered multiple injuries on Wednesday when she was felled by a tree near Cubbon Park while riding her two-wheeler.
“The team was selected 15 days back and her name was included at that time but we missed out in removing it after the mishap,” said KAA secretary Satyanarayana admitting the mistake and apologising for the error.
