Man stabs brother over property dispute

A 35-year-old businessman was stabbed to death by his younger brother over a property dispute in central Delhi’s Chandni Mahal on Sunday, police said.

The incident was reported at around 10.45 am from the victim’s house in Chandni Mahal.

Mukhtyar Ali, who used to run an air-conditioner repairing shop, was stabbed in chest with a scissor by his younger brother Dilshad, 30, on the third floor of his house after a heated argument broke out took between them. He thereafter fled the spot.

Seeing this, the victim’s wife and other family members rushed him to a hospital and informed the police about the incident. 

Ali, who is survived by his wife and two sons and two daughters, was declared dead upon arrival. Dilshad, who is still absconding, was jobless and had a property dispute with his brother.

“We have formed a team to nab the accused who is on the run,” said a senior police officer.
