<p>Governor and pro-chancellor H R Bhardhwaj will preside over the second convocation of the Karnataka Sanskrit University to be held on June 14 at the Central College, Bangalore.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Addressing a press conference, varsity Vice-chancellor, Prof Mallepuram Venkatesh said distinguished Sanskrit scholars, Pt Balachandrashastri Joshi of Dharwad, Vid K S Varadacharya of Mysore, Vid K Narayana Shastri Bucchan of Honnavara and Prof M Shivakumaraswamy of Bangalore will be conferred the DLitt honour. He added that 249 graduates and 166 postgraduates will be awarded degrees and nine rank holders will be felicitated.<br /><br />Varsity Registrar Prof Y S Sidde Gowda said the government has allocated 100 acres for a new campus at Tippasandra. He stated that the university is planning to begin an evening college from this academic year.<br /></p>
