Buses may ply from KSRTC stand

The Deputy Commissioner is expected to issue an order in this regard on Tuesday. If it is done, buses may ply from the KSRTC bus stand from Wednesday.
The resolution was passed during the CMC’s general meeting held under the chairmanship of CMC President P D Ponnappa on Monday.

The resolution was brought to the notice of DC K H Ashwathanarayan Gowda later. The DC had advised the CMC members to take a decision in this regard earlier.
The meeting decided not to pressurise the private bus operators to run buses through Sampigekatte since they did not show any flexibility in their stand.

The meeting also felt that since a hockey tourney would be held at the SAI astro turf from Tuesday for the next days, the private bus operators would find it difficult to park their buses, and hence they would automatically change their stand and run buses through Sampigekatte. If this does not happen, the issue should be discussed again after the tourney, the meeting felt.
