Teacher strips girl student, takes photos

Rajesh Shukla on Tuesday allegedly molested the Class V student of Swamy Harihar School in the Mahmoodpur village of Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj district, some 250 km from Lucknow. Shukla was absconding.

“We are carrying out raids to nab Shukla. We have detained the managerial staff of the school to know the whereabouts of the teacher,” police Inspector F A Pundir told reporters in Kannauj.

According to police, the girl’s father, Ram Singh Chauhan, a resident of the Saurikh village in Mahmoodpur, registered the compliant against the teacher on Tuesday night.
In the complaint, Chauhan alleged that Shukla, on the pretext of discussing the syllabus, called the girl to a vacant classroom and molested her.
The teacher also threatened the girl of dire consequences if she told anybody about the incident.

Strict action
School manager Harihar Baba told reporters: “Strict action will be taken against the teacher. Other teachers in the school have recommended termination of Shukla’s services.”
In the wake of the incident, several parents on Wednesday morning demonstrated in front of the school, demanding the arrest of the teacher.
Some angry parents even barged inside the manager’s office, where they assaulted staff members.
