Registration of Suryanagar sites in Aug

Housing Minister M H Ambareesh said sites at Suryanagar III stage in the City will be registered in the names of beneficiaries in August.

Replying to a question by Ravi Subramanya (BJP) in the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday, the minister said there has been delay in registration of sites in the III stage as the sites were distributed even before the layout was formed in February, before the Assembly elections were announced.

He said lotteries were drawn to select 4,000 allottees. Taking possession of the land from farmers too took time, he added.

To a question by Ravi whether the registration fee would go up due to the delay, Ambareesh said the Karnataka Housing Board would register sites as per the guidance value that prevailed earlier.
