Rahul puts Karnataka in control

 KL Rahul slammed a hundred while Kunal Kapoor missed his ton by a run as Karnataka were all out for a healthy 387 on the first day of their all-India Moin-Ud-Dowlah Gold Cup Invitational semifinal against Tamil Nadu at the ECIL grounds here on Friday.

After Karnataka elected to bat first, Rahul cracked a crucial 110 and Kapoor struck 99 to lead their charge, while handy contributions from Mayank Agarwal (44), Shreyas Gopal (30) and Abrar Kazi (33) ensured the total was a big one.

Rahil Shah (3/92) and S Suresh Kumar (3/84) picked up three wickets apiece for Tamil Nadu.
In the first semifinal, Delhi finished day one on 387/6 in 90 overs with centuries from Mohit Sharma (146) and Milind Kumar (108 n.o.) helping them pile on a mountain of runs against Hyderabad.  Jagrit Anand also chipped in with 62.
