<p>The CM has written two separate letters to Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Murli Deora in this regard.<br /><br />Yeddyurappa in his letter said the State government has signed a memorandum of understanding with Gas Authority of India Ltd for two gas-based power projects. <br /><br />As the gas pipeline from Krishna Godavari to Maharashtra will be passing through Karnataka, the GAIL has proposed a link from Humnabad in Bidar. He appealed to the Centre to allocate 20 per cent of gas in the basin to the State to help tide over the power crisis.</p>
