Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will launch the ‘Manaswini’ scheme on October 7 at Chamarajanagar.
Under the new scheme, unmarried and divorced women above the age of 40 will get a pension of Rs 500 per month.
The objective of the scheme is to bring such women to the mainstream of society, district incharge minister H S Mahadeva Prasad said at a press meet here on Tuesday.
