The High Court on Monday revived the petition seeking the prevention of movement of heavy vehicles along the National Highway 212 connecting Gundlupet in Chamarajanagar district and Wyanad, Kerala.
On August 14 last, the High Court had dismissed in absentia the petition by G R Mohan, a City-based lawyer and a party in person.
The petitioner, however, filed a revival petition on Monday, saying that the bench which heard the matter prior to dismissal, had directed him to make suggestions on an alternative route to prevent the death of animals in accident.
The bench directed the State government to consider the petitioner’s proposal, and disposed of the matter.
