Joseph Philip Sunny Thomas, who had studied medicine in England, had settled in the City and had befriended one Allen D’Souza of HAL II Stage. On the evening of June 2, 2008, both got drunk in Allen’s house and got into an argument over a petty issue. Enraged, Thomas attacked Allen with sharp objects found in the latter’s house and murdered him. A case was lodged based on the complaint filed by Akash Narayan, Allen’s neighbour.
Police were on the look out for Joseph for the last one and half years. Police said that the forensic science report has established Joseph as the culprit.
