Calcutta Derby put off as rains play spoilsport

The Calcutta Monsoon Derby, a Grade II race over 2000 metres, was cancelled due to heavy rain along with the final two races of Saturday -- Alice SpringsCup and Amorina Cup.

The Derby race will now be held on October 8 where the same selections will hold good. Seven races were completed on the weather-hit day.
