The ‘Glorious Children’s Choir’ will present its first full concert ‘Love Can Turn the World’ on October 19, 6.30 pm at Baldwin Boys’ High School Hall, Hosur Road, Richmond Town.

The 120-voice children’s choir has children in the age group of eight to 15. ‘Love Can Turn the World’ is a collection of songs which tell the story of love. The songs trace a path through the harmony of age-old hymns to contemporary favourites.

Through a thoughtfully created package of music, the Choir urges one to lay aside the tired cynicism that one has absorbed through one’s perceptions
of love and giving, and relearn to simply see the wonder through the eyes of a child. The songs in this concert tell the listener, who is weighed down by the
pressures of the times, that ultimately, all of life is about giving more.

Many of the songs are backed by the children themselves on the instruments. The song list includes ‘Turn, Turn, Turn’ by The Byrds, ‘Righteousness’, ‘Peace’ by Ron Kenolly, ‘Love Can Turn The World’ by Gaither, ‘Days of Elijah’ by Paul Wilbur and ‘Step of Faith’ by First Call.
