GE Oil & Gas to up headcount

At present, GE Oil &Gas employs around more than 300 engineers in its various location in India including its labs in Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Talking to Deccan Hearld, GE Oil & Gas Vice President Engineering & Technology Mohammad Eheteshami said: “Indian team play a key role in developing application for GE oil and gas globally. We are bringing in more efficient technologies to India. This will really throw up huge opportunities for us.”

It also believes India as a good location to serve its various customers across the Asia Pacific region and the middle east. “We are witnessing a tremendous growth opportunity in the Asia Pacific and Middle East for oil and gas industry. The GE team in India has developed many complex application and equipments for our  global clients. We are planning to use India as an important location for our global product development and also for our Asian operations” he added.

Eheteshami said the company is in touch with other public limited and private companies for major projects in the country decling to name them.  GE Oil & Gas provides compression technology for Reliance petroleum for its Jamnagar refinery complex.
