JOIN USA 23-year-old businessman was found dead in his office at Kalasipalya on Sunday.
The deceased, Syed Matheen Ahmed, a resident of HBR Layout, was a sanitary hardware dealer at the Second Cross of Kalasipalya New Extension, police said.
A telephone landline wire was found near the body. Police have also noted marks of strangulation on the body, leading to suspicion that Ahmed was murdered. The reason for the death, however, is still unknown, police added.
Syed, who was a bachelor, is said to have reached his office at 11 am on Saturday and his cellphone is believed to have been turned off at around 2.45 pm.
When attempts by his family to contact him failed, Ahmed’s brother, Syed Mohsin, went to the office. On finding the body of his brother lying on the floor, Mohsin immediately alerted the police.
Financial issues are suspected to have been the cause for the incident, said the police, adding that there were some clues that would help them solve the case soon.
