Though a remake of his Tamil film Abhiyum Naanum, the movie, he says, will definitely be one to look forward to.

“All these years, I’ve been giving much thought on the right language to start direction and the answer is Kannada. Having been part of so many movies in different languages, I am not a fool to do a remake. The subject will still be the same but the way that it is going to be portrayed will be different,” he says.
The movie revolves around the letters written by a father to his daughter and is produced by him in partnership with Media House Studio, headed by his best friend B Suresh, a prominent writer and director on small and big screen.

“I have roped in a lot of special friends for the film and will be looking forward to working with them,” says Prakash Raj.

Instead of beginning the shooting with a small puja, Prakash has invited close friends from within the industry who will be reading out their letters to their daughters.
“It’s going to be a very interesting evening and hopefully a wonderful start to a lovely movie,” he adds.

Setting the film in the backdrop of Coorg culture and tradition, Prakash will be playing the father and Ramya the daughter.

Actress Sitara will also be seen in the film. Hamsalekha scores the music and Ananth Urs is the cameraman.

“The music is simply phenomenal and I am sure it will be a hit,” he says confidently. With the current void of interesting movies in the Kannada industry, one can only hope and wait to see what Prakash has in store.
