The Karnataka under-16 batsmen struggled their way to 188 for five in 93 overs on the opening day of the four-day match against Andhra in the Vijay Merchant Trophy tournament here on Thursday.
Kishan Bedare laboured his way to an unbeaten 56 (157b, 3x4) as Andhra bowlers controlled the proceedings.
