Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday met Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and held a discussion on expanding his ministry.

Siddaramaiah, who is here to attend Group of Ministers meeting on problems of the sugar industry, reportedly told Gandhi that he wanted to fill at least three of the five vacant berths in the ministry before the coming Lok Sabha polls.

Gandhi reportedly said that he would discuss the issue with other leaders and inform the state leadership accordingly. On appointment of heads to boards and corporations, Gandhi is said to have told the chief minister to go ahead with the process.

Senior Congress leaders from Delhi are likely to visit Bangalore on December 15 to discuss party candidates for the Lok Sabha elections.
