The new AAP government is going to nail all the lazy babus. In a bid to nab the late-comers and employees who do not complete their duty hours, the government is going to set up biometric attendance machines across the departments.

Administrative Reforms Minister Somnath Bharti has issued orders to put these machines on the entry gates of every department.

“The orders have been issued regarding this. It will start from my office,” he told Deccan Herald.

“It will improve performance of the ministries. Some defaulters may feel uneasy with the strict rules, but the punctuality will certainly increase the quality and quantity of work. The work culture must change and the perception of sarkaari kaam will improve. The bureaucracy always welcomes such decisions,” said a senior Delhi government official.

The officials said the procedure of installing of attendance machines are in process and the departments will soon get one on their entry gates with thumb impression identification of all of the employees.
