Love is like a wind, you can’t see it but you can feel it’---this line from the film A Walk to Remember creates ripples inside the heart each time when one hears it being said.

There is something special about the line, only if you can feel it. And if you don’t feel so, then you need to spice up your Valentine’s Day and see the film  with your partner.  True, you might have seen many films with your beloved, but watching a romantic tale on Valentine’s Day comes with its own fun quotient!

Watch the original epic romance, Gone with the Wind (1939) that tells the story of Scarlett O’Hara and her marriage to Rhett Butler in the 19th-century American South.  How can we miss Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet one of the oldest love stories in the world. Baz Luhrmann’s 1996 adaptation is a great modern retelling of it where Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes essay the roles of the young, star-crossed lovers.

Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan starrer Sleepless in Seattle, where two unknown people, against all odds, meet and fall in love is also an interesting watch. If you are really emotional, The Notebook can be an option. Considered by many to be one of the most romantic movies of all times, The Notebook tells the story of a young couple (Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams) who fall in love during the 1940s and are separated due to social differences.

Besides, other Hollywood films like Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Titanic, Pretty Women, Notting Hill, Roman Holiday, Casablanca, An Affair To Remember, Love Story, Sweet November, 50 First Dates, PS I Love You, Out
of Africa, To Catch a Thief, Betty Blue, Lost in Translation and Crazy Stupid Love can bring out the romance hidden inside you.

Also, if you are more keen on shuddh desi romance then there are classics galore that Bollywood offers. Check out Pyasa, declared as one of the top 10 romantic movies of all time by Time magazine. This Waheeda Rehamn, Guru Dutt starrer is a must watch. Not to forget one of the greatest Hindi films ever made – Mughal- e-Azam; Pakeeza, Bollywood’s most enduring love story and Dev Anand’s Guide revolving around complexities of inter-personal relationships. But one man who has been adored as a lover boy in Bollywood is Raj Kapoor. So, watch any of these: Barsaat, Awaara, Chori Chori, Anari  or Awaara.

Even films from 1970s till date like Bobby, Silsila, Kabhie Kabhie, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Maine Pyar Kiya, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi,  Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Jodhaa Akbar, Band Baaja Baraat, Jab We Met, Saathiya and Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge can make your Valentine’s Day truly memorable.
