<p>The Department of Stamps and Registration seized documents after raiding the office of Telecom Employees’ House Building Co-operative Society (HBCS) in Seshadripuram on Tuesday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The raid followed reports of alleged evasion of stamp duty which is said to have caused a loss of crores of rupees to the State government. <br /><br />A team of eight officials raided the society office. <br /><br />The officials went through numerous files but were tight-lipped about the documents seized and the quantum of stamp duty evaded.<br /><br />Arrested<br /><br />The Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force on Tuesday arrested two more persons in connection with illegal sand mining at Vaderahalli lake. <br /><br />According to police, Prakash alias Jolle Prakash from Doddakallasandra, and Narayana from Basavanapura village near Rajarajeshwarinagar were the kingpins leading illegal sand mining activities.<br /></p>
