Rewarding the local talent

 Raghavendra Chitravani has also completed doing public relations work for 1000 films.  On this occasion, a book written by journalists Devashetty Mahesh and Vinayakram Kalagaru, Suddisetu Sadhaka, on the founder of Chitravani, the late D V Sudheendra will be released. 

The awards and winners are as follows:

1 Sri Raghavendra Chitravani Award to Madhu Art Films, established by the late L Abbai Naidu.

2. Sri Raghavendra Chitravani Award to B V Vykuntaraju, senior film journalist.

3. Dr Rajkumar award, instituted by Parvathamma to B K Sumithra, famous playback singer.

4. R Sheshadri Memorial award to S K Bhagavan, film director, instituted by Bharathi Vishnuvardhan

5. Smt Jayamala H M Ramachandra award to Harini, veteran actress.

6. K S Mallappa Memorial award instituted by K M Veeresh of Chitraloka.com to Sri Thippeswamy, a news photographer.

7. Smt Sumitramma and Sri Subramanyam Memorial award, to Suresh and Sandeep Nayak, instituted by journalist Mysore Harish.

8. M S Ramaiah Chitralaya Award to V Sridhar for best music direction for the film 'Mussanjemaatu'.

9. K V Jayaram Memorial award, instituted by Meenaxi Jayaram, to S Mahendar for best story for the film 'Akka Thangi'.

10. Hunsur Krishnamurthy Memorial award to Yogaraj Bhat for best dialogue for the film 'Gaalipata', instituted by Dr H K Narahari.

11. B Suresh award for debutant direction to Sumana Kittur for 'Slum Bala'.

12. Gaddehosur Sri Venkatappa Gowda Memorial award, instituted by Lion G P Diwakar to R Rajagopal.

13. Nadiger Krishnarao Memorial award to B R Lakshman Rao for 'Baa Maleye Baa' ('Accident'), instituted by Chethan Nadiger.

14. Kicha Creations award to Ratnakar, veteran actor, instituted by Sudeep.
