Convict escapes from jail

Yet another incident of escape has been reported from the Bellary jail on Thursday.

Masturappa (28) a resident of Jamapur village that comes under Jagalur jurisdiction of Davanagere district, was jailed for a theft case, and was brought to Bellary jail a year and half ago. Masturappa, who was to be released after one month, escaped from the jail, while the authorities were shifting the criminals from one cell to another.  This is the second such incident. Cyril John a prisoner had escaped from the jail on November 18. A case has been registered in Gandhi Nagar police station.
