A title based on her song

Actress Sridevi, whose performance in the song Hawaa Hawaai in the 1987 film ‘Mr India’ is remembered till date, unveiled the trailer of Amole Gupte’s much-awaited film Hawaa Hawaai recently. 

The cast of the forthcoming movie was present at the event.

Said the actress, “I have always been associated with Hawaa Hawaai but today, it has a new meaning.”

On the film, she said, “I have always loved Amole Gupte’s films. They touch one’s emotional chord. I loved the trailer of this film,” she told reporters during the trailer launch of the movie.

Amole’s son Partho, who plays a prominent role in the film, was excited to have Sridevi unveil the film’s trailer.

Sridevi recalled her experience as a child artiste and said, “I was four years old when I started working as a child artiste. I don’t remember much but I always wanted to be an actress.”

Hawaa Hawaai features Saqib Saleem in the lead role.
