'Kalari Chikthsa' in Mangalore

Announcing the same as a part of the first anniversary of Ayurvedashram, its Medical Director Dr Srilatha Shetty said that the Kalari Chikithsa, made available for the first time in Karnataka, is useful for people with sedentary lifestyle, IT professionals and for all those who wish to keep themselves fit. “In ancient days, Kalari was practised in battleground to rejuvenate and keep the soldiers fit. In today’s situation, it is useful for police personnel, armed forces and sports persons,” she said and added that the Chikithsa is free from side effects.

Kalari is training in Marma, used for correcting the body’s energy flows and replenishing its resources, she said.

In its first year, the Ayurvedashram achieved many milestones that included successful Ayurvedic treatment for weight reduction, curing of totally paralysed patient, treatment for infertility cases and arthritis cases that were recommended for surgery, she added.

Obesity camp

On the occasion of completion of first year, the Ayurvedashram has announced a rejuvenation and obesity camp from December 5 to December 15 between 9 am and 1 pm.
