Paragliding at play

The youth-oriented film Pyaar Kaa Fundaa, being produced by Ramdas Pujari, is directed by Monazir Hasan and stars new faces Shonali Nagrani, Yugbodh Singh Garewal, Surbhi Shukla, Megha Narker and Kashi Tiwari with veteran actors like Kiran Kumar and Shakti Kapoor.

It is interesting to note that perhaps for the first time in the annals of cinema in India, paragliding will play a vital role in the unfolding of the plot of the film, which is a love story with the backdrop of the campus.

Ramdas was earlier associated with production for various makers of television serials including Ekta Kapoor. Megha Narkar, who plays Surbhi's friend in Pyaar Kaa Fundaa had earlier played the friend of Konkana Sen Sharma in Luck By Chance and Dia Mirza’s friend in the recently-released Kisaan.

While Surbhi is working in as many as four films even before the release of Pyaar Kaa Fundaa — Fossla directed by Suraj, former assistant of Mahesh Bhatt with five new comers; a film with Kay Kay Menon in the lead; a film called Beraham opposite Chirag Patil, the son of the former cricketer Sandeep Patil with K Kumar as the director and also a film to be launched by actor Rajpal Yadav.
