Vedike flays attack on Bakrabail, Kabeer

Last Updated 23 April 2014, 18:43 IST

The Udupi district unit members of the Karnataka Komu Sauhrada Vedike staged protest and strongly condemned the cow-dung attack on Dakshina Kannada Karnataka Komu Sauhrada Vedike President Suresh Bhat Bakrabail and demanded justice against the heinous crime.

Forwarding the memorandum to the Superintendent of Police Boralingaiah M B, the Udupi district Karnataka Komu Sauhrada Vedike president Rajashekhar alleged that the Sang Pariwar members are behind the wicked act. He said the Sangh Pariwar members are the people without morality and dignity. The incident took place while KKSV Dakshina Kannada unit was having the internal meeting. Two men stormed into the meeting hall and one man smeared the face of Suresh Bhat with cow-dung.

As the two made an attempt to escape, the KKSV members caught hold of one identified as Harish Shetty and handed him over to police. He accused the attacks on the KKSV activists is not a new phenomenon. The Sangh Pariwar members  are involved in attacking all those who oppose their fascist ideologies.

Alleging that the soft corner of police towards the Sangh Pariwar activists has resulted in the increasing number of criminal activities among  the activists, Rajashekhar said the home ministry and Dakshina Kannada police should take immediate measures to curb such activities henceforth. He said the government’s apathy towards initiating stringent action against Sangh Pariwar activists even after they attacked Congress men, is the cause behind the increasing dictatorship of the Sangh Pariwar members, he alleged.

Asserting the recent killing of Kabeer in the shootout by ANF as a form of human slaughter, Rajashekhar said that the BJP and the Sangh Pariwar members should be slammed for their comments over the incident.

They have come out with ridiculous remarks over the government’s decision to initiate CID inquiry and also the compensation amount to the victim’s kin. He censured that the BJP and Sangh Pariwar men have forgotten the authenticity of the so-called culture they deemed to represent and advocate.

Coming down heavily on Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar over his recent remarks on the incident, Rajashekhar reiterated that the MLA was at the help of the idiocy. The BJP is trying to give communal touch to the incident, although the incident was not accidental, he added.
