Dear Sir,

I have an Engineering degree in Information Science from VTU.  I took six years to complete it with an aggregate of 53%. I am currently working with an international call centre, but the job does not seem promising to me. Does the University of New South Wales, Australia offer a PG in Logistics? I am also keen on pursuing M.Tech. Which are the entrance exams that I need to give?

Sunil

Dear Sunil,

I appreciate your determination in pursuing your studies. I suggest that you spend some time thinking about the technology subjects you enjoyed as a student as well as the concepts that you had trouble with. Before you think of investing a large sum of money in higher education, you need to identify your aptitude and potential and match it with your interest.  Having completed your Engineering course and having gathered some work experience, you are eligible to pursue a course in technology or a course related to management. You have asked for details on a course in logistics, which is related to management subjects. At the same time, you want information on M.Tech, which is related to technology.  Think about where you want to be 10-15 years from now and make your decision. There are many universities in Australia which offer courses in logistics. Since you do not have a high academic score, you will have to scout for a university in Australia that accepts you. You may get all details from:   IDP, The Presidency, No 1, St Marks Road, Bangalore 560001, Ph: 4123 3751-56. You could log on to the following websites:

Dear Sir,

I’m doing my 2nd PUC in Mysore and I have taken Electronics as an optional subject. I want to be an architect. I’m preparing for the NATA entrance exam. Can you suggest a few foreign universities for a degree in architecture? What are the exams that I need to appear for?

Milan

Dear Milan,

You are on the right track by preparing for the NATA entrance exam to study architecture in India. Since you are from Karnataka, you can appear for the CET too, which would make you eligible for a seat in any of Karnataka’s colleges that offer architecture. As for studying abroad, universities in all countries such as USA, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore offer architecture. You would need to take the English language proficiency test or IELTS for all countries except USA, which prefers TOEFL. If you are aiming to study in USA you also need to take Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
