The High Court on Monday allowed actor Pooja Gandhi to complete the shooting of ‘Abhinetri,’ which has run into a controversy over copyrights issue.

Justice B V Nagarathna directed Gandhi to complete the shooting and hand over the film’s CD to her so that she (the judge) and the petitioner can watch the movie on July 1, and the petition can be disposed of in three months. Bhagya, a writer, had moved the court, claiming that the movie was based on her novel ‘Abhinetriya Antharanga,’ and alleged the film makers did not take her consent.

The court had stayed the film’s screening and took possession of the script and the film print. Gandhi had challenged the order and sought directions to complete and release her film. The case has now been referred to the lower court for disposal.
