Probe sought into BBMP irregularities

A delegation led by former Mayors Ramachandrappa and P R Ramesh met the BBMP Commissioner Bharat Lal Meena and submitted a memorandum to him. They sought an action taken report against the officials involved in the work-code misappropriation and steps taken to recover money. They demanded white paper on works under JnNURM projects. They sought details on the number of trees chopped for road widening.

The leaders specifically questioned the need for introducing pay-and-park despite a strong public opposition. They appealed to the BBMP Commissioner to stop it at once.
