Sharma-Davessar in lead

 Team Maruti’s Sandeep Sharma and co-driver Varun Davessar stayed in pole position after the third day of the Maruti Suzuki Dakshin Dare here on Thursday.


The duo, who grabbed the lead on the second day, drove well in their Maruti Gypsy through the plains of the Tungabhadra to remain ahead of the pack in the Extreme 4-wheeler category after clocking 1:57.19.
Holding on to their in second spot were Team Maruti drivers Sanjay Agarwal and Venu Ramesh Kumar, who will be camping for the day with a time of 1:58:52.


Determined to move up the table, nine-time Raid de Himalaya champion Suresh Rana and co-driver Parminder Thakur scorched the track in their Maruti Gypsy, rising to third with a time of 1:59.23.
Defending champion Natraj continued to rule the roost in the Extreme two-wheeler category, maintaining his grip on pole position with a time of 1:36.05.


Mohit Verma 1:40.04 was second while Pramod Joshua (1:44.28) stood third.
