Audi A3 sedan arrives in Bangalore

German luxury car maker Audi on Saturday launched its new sedan A3 priced between Rs 23.59 lakh and Rs 29.70 lakh (ex-showroom Bangalore).

Briefing reporters, Jubilant Motors Works Vice-President (Operations) Gajanan Hegedekatte said, “The company is betting big on the new model to stretch its leadership in the Indian market and is targeting a new segment of the compact luxury sedan besides tapping repeat buyers.”

Adjudged as the World Car of the year 2014, the A3 is expected to join the compact SUV Q3, sedans A4 and A6 as the company’s growth drivers in India. The A3 is available in both petrol and diesel variants.

The A3 is powered by two engine option 35TDI and 40TFSI. Both the options are coupled with S tronic dual clutch transmission system which delivers fuel efficiency of 20.38 km per litre.

The Audi A3 35TDI is priced at Rs 23,59,000 onwards while Audi A3 40TFSI is priced at Rs 29,70,000 (ex-showroom Bangalore).

According to the company, Audi A3 Sedan has a distinctive, coupe-like design, together with the dynamic shoulder line, distinctive wider wheel arches, striking side sill and the much narrower rear lights.

It also features a 2-zone deluxe auto air conditioning with sun position sensor, new jet turbine design air vents with spot and diffuse functions. The luxury compact car offers 425 litres boot space.

The vehicle also comes with infotainment modules control features which has reduced number of buttons resulting in a clean arrangement and include navigation with 3D maps, DVD player, card readers, jukebox and Bluetooth Interface.

Audi began the year with the introduction of the most powerful Audi model from its product range - Audi RS 7 Sportback. Audi also introduced the new Audi A8L in May 2014. The company plans to expand its network to 40 dealerships by the end of 2014.
