KPCC chief defends decision

State Congress president G Parameshwara on Saturday defended the State government’s decision to withdraw 2011 notification of 352 Gazetted Probationary posts and said he will soon convene KPCC executive committee meeting to discuss the issue.

Speaking on the sidelines of a function organised to mark Quit India Movement at KPCC main office, he said the executive committee meeting will be convened to discuss number of issues, including the KPSC.

“It is not proper to politicise the issue. Nobody should indulge in politics over it. The government has taken the decision in order to cleanse the system. We will stand by the decision,” he added.

Food and Civil Supplies Minster Dinesh Gundu Rao said it was not proper to use the issue for political gains. The government had no option but to withdraw the notification in the interest of all those who wrote the examination, he added
