JOIN US Treasure Mountain, ridden by A Sandesh and trained by Nityanand, took home the spoils in the 1200-metre long Krishnaraja Wadiyar Trophy, the feature event on the final racing day of the Summer Season here at the Bangalore Turf Club on Thursday.
One of the country’s top jockeys, Suraj Narredu, expectedly bagged the Champion Jockey award of the season after booting home 23 wins, including the Kingfisher Summer Derby astride Be Safe.
Thanks to its superlative win in the Blue Riband race, the three-year old colt was adjudged the Champion Horse while its owner, Dr MAM Ramaswamy, won the Leading Individual Owner award.
Amit Caddy, with 19 wins, bagged the Best Trainer award.
