After losing 3-0 to Churchill in the first game, HASC could not do much better as they lost to the club from Goa by two goals.

The Goans opened the scoring in the 15th minute, after a defensive lapse by the HASC defence gave Nathaniel Amos a clear opening to slot the ball past the goalkeeper at the near post.
Sporting got the second goal through Elijah Junior in the 69th minute, which effectively ended HASC’s hopes of getting anything from the match.

In another Group C match, star striker Odafe Onyeka Okolie converted a penalty deep into the second half as Churchill Brothers prevailed over Mumbai FC 1-0.

Odafe scored in the 70th minute off a spot kick after Mumbai defender Kamaljeet Kumar handled the ball inside the box in a Group C match at the Satindra Mohan Dev Stadium. With this win, Churchill are on six points from two matches. They had beaten Hindustan Aeronautics Limited Bangalore 3-0 in their opening clash. Defending champions Mohun Bagan were held to a goalless draw by Chirag United.

Playing before a capacity crowd at the Nehru Stadium in Guwahati, Bagan dished out attacking soccer, creating at least half a dozen chances, but poor finishing and good solid defending by Chirag undid all their efforts in the Group B match.

Mahindra United made it two wins out of two as they edged out Mohamedan Sporting by a solitary goal. Paresh Shivalkar scored for Mahindra in the 53rd minute to give the Mumbai club maximum points to top the group.
