With two more rounds remaining, India ‘A’ beat Iran 3.5-0.5 to place themselves in a commanding position with 10 points — three shy of nearest rivals Iran and Vietnam who have seven points apiece. India ‘A’ captain K Sasikiran was held by GM Elshan Moradiabadi but his teammates Harikrishna, Surya Sekar Ganguly and Parimarjan Negi won their games comfortably to help the home side thrash Iran. India ‘B’ trounced Nepal 4-0 to take their match score to six points.
