How many times do you say 'I love you' to your spouse even after completing 10 years of living under one roof? Well, if you are looking for an answer, here it is.

According to a research, after spending 10 years with the same person, just 33 percent of men and women still tell their partner they love them.

What's more, just 11 percent described themselves as head-over-heels in love with their significant other while one in five said their days of being "in love" are over after spending a considerable amount of time together, according to a survey by YouGov, an international internet-based British market research firm.

Relationships seem to take on a more 'practical' nature the longer two people remain together.

"The partnership is less about love and affection and more about ease and dependability," researchers found. There is good news too.

Nearly half of the people in a two to five-year-long relationship still tell their partner every day that they loved them.

For 20 percent of retirees who stayed together, retirement years have been the best in their entire relationship, the survey found.
