In the wake of recent attack on Manipuris, a meeting of students from Northeast and foreign countries was held at the office of DCP (Northeast) on Friday to discuss their safey concerns and the problems they face.

A senior police officer said that the meeting aimed to draw few safety guidelines.
Vikas Kumar Vikash, DCP (Northeast), however, could not attend the meeting as he was busy in another important meeting regarding Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha being granted bail.

The meeting went on with Sampigehalli ACP Nataraj and some other inspectors. Students put forth their grievances which will be discussed with our sub-ordinates.
“On Saturday, we will again have an informal meeting with leaders of various Northeast students associations along with foreign students associations in the City.

“Suitable guidelines will be drawn for the safety of students and ensure they do not face any hardships during their stay in our City,” Vikash told Deccan Herald.
