<p>The residents of the road like Vincent Mendonsa, Peter Mendons, Jayachandalal, Shanthilal Jain, J L D’Silva, Kasmath D’Silva had filed a writ petition in the High Court demanding not to demolish buildings for road widening work. <br /><br />After hearing the case, the Court has ordered the authorities to maintain the staus quo of the building for two weeks. In this regard a notice has been issued to DC, PWD, CMC and Urban Development Authority. <br /><br />The meeting of the building owners will be convened at the earliest, said Chikmagalur Deputy Commissioner R Narayanaswamy. <br /></p>
