<p>Gundappa, who allegedly raped a three-year-old girl at Orchids The International school in Jalahalli, was remanded in six-day police custody by a magistrate on Sunday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>According to police, medical examination was conducted on Gundappa at M S Ramaiah Hospital before producing him at the residence of the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in Koramangala.<br /><br />A senior police officer said that they wanted the suspect in their custody for some more days so that they could gather more details about the incident.<br /><br />Gundappa’s wife and daughters threatened to consume poison if he was not released from jail. Mallamma, his wife, said, “He worked as a watchman for seven years at a girls’ hostel of a private nursing college. It was located exactly where the Orchids school is now located. In those seven years, he used to work in night shifts and not a single person had complained about his behaviour. Why all this now?” she said.</p>
