C V Raman Nagar MLA, S Raghu, in whose constituency The Indiranagar Cambridge School is located, on Friday alleged that the institution and the neighbouring Miranda Educational Society had been built on a civic amenity (CA) site earmarked for a park.

“On October 30, I asked the BEO, South, to provide documents regarding the school construction and land records. It has not been given to me yet. Unless there are documents to prove it, we cannot take any action against the school management over the CA site issue,” he said, refusing to divulge further details.

Block Education Officer (BEO), Bangalore South-4, S M Ramesh, told this newspaper that the school management and the principal were not accessible.

“We have been trying to contact the principal and the administrative staff of the school since October 30 in order to get details, but their cell phones are switched off. The school was built in 1979 and hence it is difficult to trace the land records. We can obtain the documents only through the school management,” he said.
