Namma Metro: Trial run on Reach-3B completed

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has successfully completed the trial run on the entire stretch of Namma Metro’s Reach-3B (from Peenya Industry to Nagasandra via Jalahalli and Dasarahalli, which run along the National Highway-4 for about three km.

“After the first trial run which was conducted between Peenya Industry and Jalahalli on Sept 30, 2014, we successfully completed the trial run on the entire stretch on November 15,” stated a press release issued by the BMRCL on Tuesday.

The BMRCL has now started testing various systems of Metro. After the completion of testing of various sub-systems, the corporation will approach authorities for statutory clearances required for the commercial operations of Reach-3B section.

After the clearance, the entire 14-km stretch from Sampige Road to Nagasandra stations on the North-South corridor will become operational. Currently, the 11-km stretch between Sampige Road to Peenya Industry is operational, the release said.
