JOIN USThree employees o the Hubli Electricity Supply Company (Hescom) including a rural division executive engineer were arrested by Malmaruti police on Wednesday for attempting to rape a colleague, a few days ago, in the city.
The accused have been identified as Hescom Rural Division Executive Engineer T B Majjagi, Store Keeper M T Takkalaki and Lineman Maruti Doddamani.
Police said the accused attempted to rape their 27-year-old female colleague who was working as Assistant Engineer in Hescom Sub Division at Hescom Employees Association Building on November 13.
The accused were arrested based on the complaint lodged by the victim in the city on Wednesday.
Meanwhile Hescom Belagavi Division Chief Engineer S P Sakri said there were rumors that these employees had tried to sexually abuse a female colleague.
With the victim filing a complaint, we will take necessary action against them, he said.
